After earning a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Special Education in 2005, I taught Special Education for seven years. While teaching children from diverse backgrounds, I realized there was a shortage of counselors, particularly male counselors, with the necessary expertise and training to address the emotional needs of uniquely challenged child and their families. 

I earned a Master's of Science in Professional Counseling from Harding University in 2009 where I developed the Career Center for students and alumni.  Upon graduating, I served for three years as a school counselor in a private school for children with learning differences. 

I have a passion for people of all ages, stages of life, sexual orientations, and gender who feel they are living on the margins, and I've been serving individuals who have different needs and their families, since 1996. My specialties include neurodivergent individuals with differences such as ADHD, Aspergers, Dyslexia, and Autism. I also assist parents in developing effective strategies that guide and prepare children and teens to lead successful, independent lives.  I also offer counseling for individuals, particularly adolescents and young adults. I also have extensive training and experience in career counseling. 

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters, playing video games, reading, taking any chance I can to entertain people through acting and singing, and cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks (don't worry, I still manage to work very well with Aggies, Longhorns, & even Sooners).
